The
annual friendly against Milngavie Bowling Club dates back over 100 years and took
place on 6th August on a lovely afternoon. President Jim Cuthbertson and
Milngavie BC Vice President John Bartram are shown with a few of the participants and the
Friendship Cup before play got underway. We would like to thank Campbell
Dallas for sponsoring the event this year. Competition was keen, thirsts
were quenched,
banter was exchanged and play continued in excellent conditions until the match
was decided in Bearsden's favour after 15 ends. The Friendship Cup was presented
(with some reluctance?) to Jim after an excellent meal.
