INTRODUCTION FOR NEW BOWLERS

OPEN EVENINGS starting Monday 3rd May 2010 5.30pm for 6.00pm 

We wish to encourage new bowlers, particularly families and those who have never bowled before. We are a friendly club and we play Ladies, Men's and mixed matches. Just turn up with flat shoes or plimsolls and we will provide bowls and give you some tuition.  Refreshments and supper will be available.

The Batchwood Hall Bowling Club is to be found in the peaceful surroundings of the Batchwood Hall Golf Course, Batchwood Drive in St Albans: the only noise being the singing of the birds, the occasional shout of "fore" and, of course, the evocative sound of wood on wood. 

The green is open from mid-April until the end of September with the rinks being available (subject to matches, competitions etc) from 10:30am until dusk - weather and greenkeeper permitting! 

The club play matches against other local clubs, which are either friendly or league fixtures in ladies, men's and mixed teams.   In addition, members can play in the club mixed triples league and in the Club, District and County championships if they wish.
